Rubber Sheets

All of our rubber sheeting products meet RMA Standard Specifications; however, very tight tolerances can also be achieved. With thousands of sheet rubber formulations, you can order the materials you need for any environment or application including products that meet Military, AMS, ASTM, NSE, NSF, FDA upon request. We can work with you to develop and manufacture a product that will meet your specific needs and applications; with the confidence of knowing that at each step in the process, Garlin’s ISO approved quality systems ensure the highest product quality. Our high-quality, spec grade and commercial lines of sheet rubber are available in several grades of Nitrile (Buna-N), EPDM, Neoprene, Silicone, Natural Rubber, SBR, Viton® and Fluoroelastomer.

Antistatic Rubber:

Anti-static Rubber is treated with an antistatic agent during manufacturing. Antistatic sheets provide 105 Ωm conductive value making it an excellent choice for sensitive electronic components. Antistatic rubber prevents or inhibits the buildup of static electricity. Use din conjunction with other ESD materials to remove the discharge or sparks. Non marking, good for clean rooms on the floor or low dust applications.

Applications:

Work benches and floors that should be electrically insulated, table mats, IC tray buffers, static dissipation, solder removal, circuit board preparation, circuit board rework, lead trimming, edge connector assembly, paper converting, printing, material handling, film processing, and packaging.

    • Neoprene is popular due to its unique combination of properties and has led to its use in thousands of applications in diverse environments.Neoprene is a polymer that provides moderate oil & gasoline resistance, very good resistance to ozone & sunlight, excellent adhesion to fabric & metals, good resistance to abrasion & flex cracking and very good resistance to alkalis & acids.

    EPDM provides superior properties for outdoor and high-temperature applications. EPDM has excellent resistance to heat, ozone, and sunlight and good resistance to alkalis, acids, and oxygenated solvents. Very good temperature flexibility, superior resistance to water and steam. It is highly extendible and is sulfur and peroxide curable.

    Nitrile is the polymer of choice for applications requiring oil and solvent resistance. Nitrile has very good oil and gasoline resistance, superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids, a wide range of service temperatures, good resistance to hydrocarbon solvents, and very good resistance to alkalis and acids.
    Nitrile (Buna-N)
    Diaphragm sheets are strong, flexible packing material designed to transmit pulsating motions between fluids, gases, and air in all types of gauges, meters, and valves. It contains high-quality fabric insertions to give uniform structural strength over the entire diaphragm area. A high-grade general purpose, a material with broad applications in oil and gas service such as fuel pumps, control valves, and similar uses.

    Natural Rubber is a good gasket material due to excellent physical properties. Natural rubber has superior resilience, tensile, elongation and abrasion resistance, good low temperature flexibility and compression set and excellent adhesion to fabric and metals.

    Fluoroelastomers are particularly valued for their excellent heat stability (200°C) and resistance to aggressive fuels and chemicals.The use of fluoroelastomers has spread quickly to many other industries, including the automotive, oil, fluid power, appliance and chemical industries and has developed a reputation for its outstanding performance in very hot and extremely corrosive environments.
    Viton
    Silicone rubber can withstand a wider range of temperature extremes than nearly all other elastomers, remaining viable from -80°F to +450°F. Silicone has excellent temperature range and good compression set. Silicone can withstand many extreme environments and is inherently a fungus-resistant material. It can resist water and many chemicals, including some acids, oxidizing chemicals, and ammonia.

    Cloth Inserted Neoprene Rubber Sheet is suitable for applications requiring minimal oil resistance and where hot and/or cold water and gases are being transferred. Such applications might include meters, control devices, regulators, pumps, and diaphragms.

    Cloth Inserted SBR Red Rubber Sheet is suitable for use in hydraulics and where air, water or low-pressure steam will be passed.

    Cloth Inserted NBR Nitrile (Buna-N) is suitable for applications needing resistance to oil, caustics, and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
